During the peak of the January 2011 flood crisis in southeast Queensland Australia, the Brisbane City Council website & infrastructure suffered several periods of downtime due to the high-volume of traffic requesting maps & information about the Queensland floods.
In response, this site was setup as a mirror of the official Brisbane City Council site & information contained on the site; eliminating downtime caused by the high-volume of requests to their servers.
The original webpage from 2011 has since been archived and can be found here for viewing purposes.
